Happy Birthday Maw Maw and June

Today would have been my Maw Maw's birthday.

She was such a lovely lady!  We miss her everyday but rejoice in knowing that she is with her Jesus, who she loved so much!  This birthday will be different for us but for her, she will get to spend it with loved ones she hasn't seen in so long!  Happy Birthday!

4 Month Doctor Vist ( We are really 5 months old!)

My dad and I took the boys to their 4 month visit yesterday.  We missed our original appointment due to a nasty stomach bug!  They are really 5 months old!  They each had to get 2 shots.  They handled it pretty well.  We were able to grab them up as soon as they were done.  Kevin had to work, so my dad came along.  Good thing he did because Landon ended up having to have a breathing treatment and someone had to entertain Maddox.  The doctor sent us home with a breathing machine so that we can continue doing them with Landon.  We go back Friday for a follow up.  He does pretty good with the mask (for a short period of time) then he wants to chew on it and throw it on the floor!

Green Beans
We have started solid foods!  We have been practicing with rice for a while and added green beans today.  I thought they would eat it up, but their facial expressions proved to me that green beans are not their favorite.  We will keep trying.  Here are a couple pictures:

Landon all cleaned up!

We absolutley love these little boys!  It is amazing how God gives you exactly what you need!  As many of you know, my Maw Maw passed away March 8th and my Grandmother passed away March 12th.  My Maw Maw was an identical twin.  My brother and his wife had planned on coming in town that following weekend to share with us that they were expecting.  They ended up having to come home early for their funerals.  They shared their surprise!  As our loved ones were entering the gates of Heaven, we were preparing for 3 little ones to enter the world.

Tis the Season

Jackson Christopher

Christmas is my favorite time of the year!  This year, it will be a little (a lot!) more special for our family.  While we will be missing our two grandmothers, we will have 3 new babies joining in on the fun!  Maddox and Landon are anxiously awaiting a visit from Santa!  Their new cousin, Jackson, will be visiting Charlotte at the end of the month.  I look at Maddox and Landon now and think how blessed we are to provide them with all their needs and wants. My prayer is that Kevin and I will take this time of year to show the boys what Christmas really means.  These two guys have brought so much joy into our lives.  We are excited about our first Christmas as a family of 4!  We love you Mad Man and Lan Man!

Delivery Day

Who would have thought that I would have made it this far?  Not me!  That's for sure!  38 weeks and 1 day!  I am amazed!  Gods grace and mercy have brought us this far and he has cared for these little boys since the beginning.  Today is the day that we get to meet our sons, Gods creations!  We are excited to see what and who they look like!  We are excited to see how much they weigh (I am guessing in the 7lbs range).  We are excited for family to meet them, love them and spoil them.  Before leaving for the hospital we will be taking a final picture.  I will post it when we get back home.  It's time to go get things ready to meet Maddox and Landon!!!

We keep waiting......

After visiting the doctor at least twice a week and hearing "you're sitting on GO!"  We are still waiting!  As it looks, we will be meeting our little boys on July 18th, if labor has not started by then!  We are very excited and eager to meet them, but know that God has a plan of when they shall arrive!  We are using this last week to clean (we did that several weeks ago), spend time with one another and prepare to become a family of 4!  It won't be long now.....

6-16-11 Double Blessings

Kevin and I have been married for three years!  We found out in November of 2010 that we were expecting.  On December 10th, 2010, an early ultra sound revealed that we were having fraternal twins!  Twins run on both sides of our families, so we shouldn't have been too shocked!  We shared the news with our parents, but decided to keep it a secret and make the announcement on Christmas day!  Both of our families were very excited and the planning began!  We found out we were having boys on February 28th!  This surprise was revealed to our families through a pizza party and blue cupcakes!

Maddox Dean and Landon Nicholas are scheduled to arrive in July.  God has blessed us with two boys for many reasons.  We can't wait to hold them and squeeze them!  Having twins, means perks at the doctors office!  We visit the doctor weekly and even get extra ultra sounds.  This gives me peace knowing our boys are healthy!

A reason for creating this blog is so that Maddox and Landon can look back on the wonderful memories we will make as a family.  The nursery is done, everyone's bags are packed.  Now, we wait.......
